I never realized how much of a controversial holiday Valentine's Day was when I was younger, I was always just psyched to get candy and other treats from classmates at our class parties! But now that I'm older, I see a lot of people who are hating on poor love day. claiming that it's a "made up" holiday and it only exists to benefit card companies. While that may or may not be true, it's still a nationally recognized holiday, and therefore an excuse to celebrate. Whether you're single or not, you can totally use Valentine's Day as an excuse for a "treat yo self" day without any guilt attached!

I put together a little "dream Valentine's Day" outfit here. Sure, I can't afford half of the things in this outfit and the other half I'm too cheap to buy, but it never hurts to browse ;)
